Let It Snow! And snow and snow and snow...

We are in Denver, Co in the middle of the biggest blizzard in 17 years. Yeah... We expected it to be cold and to see some snow, but not like this! Thank God (and I really mean that) for providing us with a hotel room when we had already checked several hotels that were full.

It's still snowing and probably will be all night. Hopefully we can get to our destination in the Rocky Mountains tomorrow! I bet it's beautiful up there.

Here's Catie playing in her car seat at around 10:00 am this morning. We were leaving Kansas; entering Colorado.

As you can see, no snow yet. Now here's a photo from about 1:30 pm...

BLIZZARD!!!! It was snowing so thickly and the wind was blowing so hard... Anyway, a pretty stressful and daunting drive.

People were having wrecks... Eventually they closed I-70. Below is what all the cars looked like. Some had more impressive icicle growths than others.

This is outside our hotel.

And this is our minivan rental. You can see where the snow plow went by and sprayed us. :) Catie said, "Hey! My window's dirty!"

The balcony of our hotel room. Don't think we'll be sitting out there to enjoy the evening...

The blizzard on the news.

Our minivan in the parking lot at dusk (far right). I'm wondering how covered it will be by morning...

Are you on vacation? (that seems an odd word to me with snow at all--let alone a blizzard! Brrrr)

I'm glad you got pictures working! Woohoo!!!

Can you bring some snow back to Alabama?

Pete wash your mouth out with soap. This is a no-snow zone until next January! We are only accepting SUNSHINE and warm weather down here!

You guys have fun and be safe.
